New Everyday Math Curriculum
All of BAS students K-6th grade will be using a cohesive, new math curriculum. It is a spiraled curriculum, which means your child will see and work on new concepts almost every day. There is a great online component where your student can log in and engage themselves in activities that have to do with the concept that was touched on in class that day. There is fun, interactive games, help tabs, algorithm animations and much much more! Did your child forget their "homelink" homework at school? No problem - just log in and print it out! Your child's username and password is taped on the inside of their agenda. Click on the link below to check it out!
Our students will continue using ixl.com this year in third grade. Usernames and passwords are taped on the inside cover of your child's agenda. Go to https://www.ixl.com/signin/brighton to sign in. Skills will be assigned in class as we cover them with our EDM curriculum. They can also play at home and pick any third grade skill they want to work on! The more skills mastered - the more virtual prizes! :)
Mrs. G's Number Sense Museum
Numbers are every where! A museum is a place where historic, artistic and scientific items are displayed and cared for. See the photo gallery below to see Mrs. G's Virtual Math Museum. Where else have you seen numbers used in our world?
